SPECIAL OLYMPICS
Young Athletes is a unique sport and play program for children with intellectual disabilities. The focus is on fun activities that are important to mental and physical growth. Children ages 2 to 6 enjoy games and activities that develop motor skills and hand-eye coordination. Children ages 6 to 12 enjoy the fundamentals of golf. Young Athletes is an early introduction to sports and to the world of Special Olympics. The children learn new things, play and have lots of fun!
Level 1: (Ages 2-6)

Dates: 9/25, 10/2, 10/9, 10/16, 10/23, 10/30

Times: 9:30AM - 10:15AM

Activity Focus: Early sport skills like running, kicking, throwing and balancing.

Level 2: (Ages 6-12)
Dates: 9/25, 10/2, 10/9, 10/16, 10/23, 10/30
Times: 10:30AM - 11:15AM
Activity Focus: Fundamentals of golf.

SENSORY SCIENCE
Come take part in science experiments with us! All projects have a sensory component allowing young scientists to explore or observe elements of sight, touch, smell, sound, and taste in an engaging and fun activity.
Dates: Mondays, October 18 - November 29
No class on 11/22

Times: 4:15 PM - 4:45PM

Where: Parks and Recreation Department

Cost: $5 per class

ROMAN MUSIC THERAPY
Roman Music Therapy is an active music experience to support meaningful relationships, improve quality of life and support personal growth. This class is an inclusive opportunity that invites people to be music makers and to connect with others. Participants will engage in karaoke series, drum circle series and general music therapy
Dates: Mondays, October 18 - December 2
No class on 11/11 or 11/25

Times: 5:15PM - 6:00PM

Where: Community Center Classroom

Cost: $10 per class

ART SENSORY PLAY
Children are introduced to a multi-sensory experience by exploring a wide-variety of art & movement. The class will help to develop fine motor skills by painting, drawing, squeezing glue, cutting, stamping and collaging, including art, movement or sensory activity
Dates: Mondays, January 3 - February 7
No class 12/27, 1/3, 1/17

Times: 4:15 PM - 4:45PM

Where: Parks and Recreation Department
